[:en]We will start telling the stories of Guria from Ekvtime Takaishvili Museum. Saitsar is a man of great biography. We will also visit the house-museum canonized by the Apostolic Church of Georgia in Likhauri, and then we will visit the church of Achi. It has a long history, but now I will tell you completely different stories. Live the history, the Gurus have a great one. Great and very interesting. You can imagine, they even had their own republic… The Republic of Guria, called the second Paris Commune, was announced by the Gurians at the end of the summer of 1905, and they managed to hold elections until January 10, 1906, i.e. before the cancellation, by the way, women were allowed to participate in the elections. The president was also elected, but… you can imagine, and in the socialist-democratic republic, the president was sometimes called the king of Guria. We are such, not a little strange people, Gurus. Let me not forget that the name of the president was Benia Chkhikvishvili, and after the abolition of the Republic of Guria, he was first the governor-general of Batumi and then of Tbilisi. Do you agree, I introduced you to an interesting person… there are many such people in Guria, both politicians and non-politicians… one of the architects of world politics is ours. Yes, yes Mr. Edward. By the way, two of the three gurus are politicians, the third is also a politician, but he does not reveal it. Gurus know football in addition to politics… there was a time when there were 3 Georgian teams in the 18 teams of the USSR Higher League… and one of them was Lanchkhuti Guria… you can imagine that there were 10,000 people living in Lanchkhuti at that time… and the stadium could accommodate about the same number of people… What about the Athens Theater and what about the Lanchkhuti Stadium … per citizen – 1 chair! In addition to football, the Gurus love horse riding as a hobby. They were real professionals… Can you imagine that Guruli riders took part in the Wild West Shows held in America and if we believe the local press, they almost drove all over America… Don’t think that a group of ten Guruli entered America directly – they didn’t cool down, they didn’t heat up and they went from Marseille to London via Paris Havre … By the way, Guri Kazakhs did not embarrass themselves when they visited Queen Victoria. The story of not being ashamed started with the international horticultural exhibition held in London’s Earl’s Court, where the performances of the Buffalo Bill show were held along with various events. Queen Victoria wanted to see them at Windsor Castle. On June 25, 1892, the Georgian horsemen led by Ivane Makharadze appeared before the English royal family and other aristocrats. The enraptured queen presented a gilded album of photos of the performance.

And now, before tasting Guruli wine and vodka, let’s try Guruli tea. The gurus have lots of stories to tell over tea. By the way, the first tea bushes were planted in Georgia in Guria, and the Nakashidze family planted them.

We must mention Nakashidze’s surname once more and we will do it while drinking tea in Gurianta, and before we get there, let’s talk about the name of Guria: according to academician Nikoloz Berdzenishvili, the toponym Guria originated from the name of Gurianta. Vashnari is located on the territory of the village at the confluence of the Skurdum and Nataneb rivers. A Neolithic settlement was discovered to the right of Skurdum.

In the late feudal age, it was the domain of the Nakashidze family. In the territory of the village there was also the Church of St. George of Kakhuri and the Church of the Archangels of the monastery and the memorial museum. The exposition of the museum presents materials depicting the history of the village, including: in the Gurianta-Tsikhisferdi area on the hill of the Skurdum river in 1963, the flint and cobblestone tools of the late Neolithic age, vashnar of the pre-feudal age were found as a result of excavations. Materials of the castle-city. In one hall of the museum there is a Guruli house, a stone ram statue found in Tsikhisferd. Photographs and manuscripts depicting the history of the village are exhibited in the halls. Iron smelting from magnetic sand is assumed in the settlement of Anaseuli.

After tasting Guruli tea, we will visit Anaseuli. We will taste delicious vodka. Before that, I will tell you a little about Anaseuli: it is a settlement with an interesting history. If nothing else, two institutions of Union importance functioned in the same territory. The name of Anaseuli should be related to Anna Batonishvili, the daughter of the prince of Guria, Mamia II (1600-1625). Mamiya II married her daughter Anna to King Teimuraz of Kakhta and gave him an estate. By the way, there is a beautiful park in Anaseuli. Reanimated by civil budget and rural support programs. If we walk a little, there are many interesting trees and shrubs in the park that are worth seeing.

Let’s go for a walk now. Let’s visit the promised Ekvtime Takaishvili House-Museum in the village of Likhauri. The House Museum of Six Gods. Known as the potter of Georgia. Why is it called that? Our guide will competently tell you about it as soon as we step into the courtyard of the house-museum.

In Likhauri, we will also visit the church of Achi, and we will drive through the beautiful valley of Achi to Lama Adjara.

We will end the evening with a wine tasting. We will also listen to Georgian folk songs and even sing them.

It was a tour full of impressions – agree with us![:]
